Our Sunday School Christmas Program this year will be on Sunday, December 17 during the 10:30am service. There will be rehearsal on Saturday, December 16 from 10:30-11:30am. Each family is asked to bring two dozen cookies for the reception to be held after the program. They should be brought to the kitchen in the church basement. Also, each student should bring a toy for the toy drive. Bring them unwrapped to the Ascension Room the day of the rehearsal or on Sunday the 17th before the service. During the program, the students will be directed to bring the toys to place under the tree. If you have any questions, please see your child’s Sunday School teacher or ask in the Sunday School office.
This school year, our Sunday School mission work will support the Elmhurst Food Pantry! Every month we will have a special collection theme so we donate the items which are most needed. For December, the collection theme is dry goods – pastas, noodles, crackers, cookies, etc. The children can bring their items or cash each week, which will be collected during the Sunday School opening in the church. Other food items are also welcomed. Congregation members can make additional donations at any time by bringing goods to the Sunday School office or putting cash donations in an envelope marked for Elmhurst Food Pantry in the collection basket during the services.
